Comments about Fromm Duck & Sweet Potato Dry Dog Food - 5 lb:
My dog is a big-headed pit bull (who looks like Petey in the Little Rascals or the [...] dog) who appreciates a solid lamb chop or hefty steak bone. His other dining preference is Italian, since he has been taught to beg from his Sicilian father who sneaks him lasagna & veal at dinner. Thus, when I was searching dogfood for my carnivorous pet, a Duck & Sweet Potato choice did not sound very tantalizing. Murrey, although a 65-lb pit-bull, is a very picky eater. Or more appropriately, discerning dinner. But because Murrey has a delicate stomach, I have tried many top-line foods and been unsuccessful. All the other products have given him reflux and/or the runs. As I previously mentioned, Murrey is 65-pounds and it is not pleasant picking up loose poop on a New York City street. This is the first dry dog food that doesn't cause him gastric issues. Additionally, I like to mix Merrick's Mediterrean Feast or Grammy Pot pie for added zest. Alternatively, I can feed him this food without worrying about chemicals or fillers in the food since there are no hormones.I don't know about other dogs, but Murrey, highly recommends this food and would be willing to pose with the product (gratis) since he is very photogenic and was first runner-up to the Bacci Kisses International contest where he was kissing his best friend, Max, a tea-cup Yorkie. He was cheated out of that contest because of the human family with teen-agers who used Facebook to steal more votes!

The food is great! I have two shih tzu's, and one is a little more active than the other. I believe in the 5 first ingredient rule when picking a high quality dog food for my "babies", and this food exceeds the test. It also has low calories so that helps too!
